National Eating Disorder Awareness Week

According to the National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA), “By age 6, girls especially start to express concerns about their own weight or shape. 40-60% of elementary school girls (ages 6-12) are concerned about their weight or about becoming too fat. This concern endures through life.” Nutrition professionals can play an essential role in identifying, diagnosing and managing eating disorders, so the more you know, the better.

National Eating Disorder Awareness Week takes place February 22-28 this year. We hope these articles and resources help you and your clients better understand the dangers of eating disorders and provide tactical solutions for ongoing management.
